Well today was a rough one. It started out with having to take two of the kids (Maryssa and Robert) to the pharmacy to get the pharmacist to diagnose and prescribe medication for both of them. Maryssa has had a sore throat for several days and Robert has had a temperature for several days (it's been really high at night). Man, it seems that someome has been sick almost everyday since we have been here. I'm literally sick of people being sick! I confess health and healing over my family right now in Jesus name! It's like I've been so preoccupied with all of this adoption stuff that I've neglected the little things, like speaking the Word over my family concerning healing. Anyway, I'm tired of it.
Then Mary Jane and I had the first heated argument that we've had in a verrry long time! Of course she started it... but me being the mighty man of God that I am, I just walked in love toward her and realized that she was just having a bad day and ... yeah, right! I wish I would have reacted the right way. We've been married 19 years and you'd think I would learn to keep my mouth shut in times like that but I guess I'm either a slow learner or just a glutton for punishment. Anyway, I've had to apologized several times and I had to give up the last 3 peices of Hershey's chocolate I had stashed away as a peace offering. Man, I'm retarded! One thing for sure though... I truly love my wife. Seriously. She is the strongest person I know and I am so glad that we are in this together, not only as husband and wife but as best friends.
The weather is quite cool, even during the day now. It has rained everyday for the last week and a half. We might try and go to the pool tomorrow if it doesn't rain. We have to move out of our rooms Friday. We will have to find another place to stay until Sunday Night. We knew this before we came to Brazil but the time is now upon us. It will be good to get a change of scenery for a few days though. They are going to let us store all of our excess baggage here on the property so that will be nice. Mary Jane told you guys yesterday about our final meeting with the psychiatrist on Thursday. Then we meet with the judge on Friday. He wants to interview Marlon to make sure that he wants to be a part of our family. After that it's just a matter of all of the paperwork going through the Brazilian government.
Well, that's about all for today. Thank you for praying for us... we really need it! We miss everyone so much. Thanks Pastor Gwen for emailing all the info about the weekend. We are so proud to be a part of a staff that is truly changing our community.
Love Ya!
